My prototypical customer is a college student at the University of Florida who is very active. She loves to workout before and after class, but doesn’t have a car. She played tennis her whole life but doesn’t play in college because she got injured. She sweats very easily but doesn’t like carrying a bag with her when she goes to work out.

I have a lot in common with my customer avatar. I share all of these traits actually because I based the prototypical customer on myself. I did so because that’s how I came up with the product idea.

  1. Hey Taylor,

I also based my avatar around myself because I feel that many people who need my product are people like me. I feel the same goes for you and your prototypical customer. People who are active and work out are more likely to deal with sweating more and therefore being uncomfortable afterwards, especially when they do not have a change of clothes.

  2. Taylor,

Your typical customer/consumer fit into my segment as well. For my segment, I chose athletic college students who enjoy physical activity and keeping up with their health. It makes perfect sense that you would choose this type of person too because athletes constantly work up a sweat. However, your product or opportunity belief could apply to virtually anyone who leaves their house in the summer.
